The platform administrator's job

The job nobody wrote a description for. In most organizations the EPM service administrator is a functional consultant who happened to be there. The work is real, and largely invisible until it fails. What the job actually contains — and you will notice it is this course's own structure: the estate, access, security, the tools, automation, continuity, operations, monitoring, enablement, governance. The rhythm of the role. Daily: monitoring and job failures. Monthly: the patch cycle and access review. Quarterly: feature updates and capacity. Annually: the DR test, the security review, the role audit. Users do not think about the platform. That is the whole measure. If people are talking about the platform, something is wrong with it.
