Corrections and the delete you cannot do

Correcting loaded HCM data means loading again WITH A LATER DATE, not deleting. The effective-dated model has no undo: a wrong version is corrected by a subsequent version, and both remain in the history. THE CONSEQUENCE FOR THE PERSONNEL RECORD IS THE PART TO THINK ABOUT. A person's record afterwards says: salary was X from January, then Y from January — corrected. That is a true statement about what the system was told, and a strange one about the person, and an employee looking at their own record will ask. Some corrections are genuinely available. A version loaded with a future effective date can often be removed before it takes effect. A record created entirely in error, with no dependent objects, can sometimes be deleted through a supported process. Both are narrow and neither is the general case, so plan on the assumption that what you load, stays. THE CONSEQUENCE…
