Implementing Project Portfolio Management: From Organization Structure to Recognized Revenue · Module 14 · Project Billing: Contracts, Invoice and Revenue Methods
Proving the association works
Lesson 150 of 198 · 10 min
Run the verification checklist. Record a cost on an associated task and show it appearing as billable. Generate a draft invoice. Recognize revenue. Show the unbilled or unearned position. Then show a cost that is not billable, and diagnose why. Getting to a draft invoice in this module matters, even though the next one covers processing properly. You need to see the end of the chain before spending another module on its mechanics. The unbilled position appearing is the proof that bill and revenue plans are working independently.
