Administering Cloud EPM: The Platform Beneath the Business Processes · Module 7 · Provisioning at Scale
Synchronizing specific users and groups
Lesson 81 of 201 · 12 min
Configure filtered synchronization, select specific groups, run and verify, show a user outside the filter not appearing, and show adding a group to the filter. FILTERED SYNCHRONIZATION IS USUALLY THE RIGHT ANSWER FOR EPM. You do not need the entire corporate directory in your EPM identity domain — you need the finance population and whoever else uses the estate. The filter is a maintenance item. When a new group needs EPM access, somebody must add it to the filter. Document who. Over-synchronizing creates a large user population you are responsible for and nobody uses.
