Getting an environment

You need an environment. Watching a work order complete teaches nothing about completing one. This course is configuration and transactions, and both are skills of the hands. Route one: an employer or partner tenant. An SCM development instance, with an implementation user — and, critically, a Financials enterprise structure already in place, or the ability to create one. That last part is the constraint people do not anticipate: they ask for "an SCM instance", get one, and discover several modules in that there is no ledger to hang anything off. Route two: a trial or personal edition — the current signup path, its limitations, and when it expires. Route three: follow-along mode, with full screenshot lab guides. It works, and honestly it is second best: you will learn the decisions and you will not build the muscle memory. The Financials dependency, stated early, because it decides which of those three
