The environment you need
Lesson 3 of 176 · 3 min
What a trial gives you, what it does not, and THE ONE MODULE THAT NEEDS TWO ENVIRONMENTS RATHER THAN ONE. You need a Visual Builder instance you can build in, and for most of this course a trial or a personal cloud account is enough. WHAT A TRIAL GIVES YOU IS THE DESIGNER AND THE ABILITY TO PUBLISH, WHICH COVERS MOST LABS. Building pages, variables, action chains, calling services, and running the result. WHAT IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU IS A FUSION INSTANCE, AND THAT IS THE REAL CONSTRAINT. Several modules read and write real Fusion data, and a trial Visual Builder has nothing to connect to. Where you have no Fusion access, those labs can be done against a public sample service instead — the mechanics are identical, and what you lose is the authentication and the quarterly-update exposure, which are exactly what Modules 5 and 17 are about.…
