Administering Cloud EPM: The Platform Beneath the Business Processes · Module 5 · Business Processes and Migration

Performing a migration

Lesson 57 of 201 · 14 min

Take a snapshot from the source environment, download it, upload it to the target, import and monitor, review the import results and any warnings, then verify the target: artefacts present, users mapped, integrations noted. And show an import that FAILS on version compatibility, and read the message properly. USERS DO NOT MIGRATE THE WAY ARTEFACTS DO. Identity is domain-scoped (Module 3) and role assignment is separate (Module 6). A migrated application with no users is normal and expected; plan the user step separately. VERIFY, DO NOT ASSUME. Import success is not the same as a working application. The version compatibility message is the one you will meet, and reading it correctly is a skill.
