Downloading and installing

From an environment, open Settings and Actions and reach the Downloads page. Show that the page lists only components applicable to THIS business process. Follow the Smart View route to its external download location, accept the licence and download. Close Office applications; run the installer with administrator rights. Return to Downloads, install an extension, and verify in Excel. CLOSE OFFICE BEFORE INSTALLING. EVERY TIME. This is the single most common installation failure and it takes ten seconds to prevent. Desktop installation needs LOCAL ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS, which most users do not have. Plan deployment through whatever software distribution the organization uses; hand-installing for two hundred people is not a plan. Extensions install after the base client, and some use a distinct file type.
