Enterprise Data Management and Cloud EDM

What it does: it governs changes to master data, reference data and metadata across the enterprise. Configurable viewpoints onto enterprise data. Request-based change workflows. Subscriptions that synchronize alternate perspectives. Mapping between systems. An authoritative system of reference. It coordinates structural change across the organization — which is what makes analytics consistent, mergers survivable, and chart-of-accounts changes safe. And here is the part that matters commercially. There are two forms. The Enterprise Data Management business process, included with an EPM Enterprise subscription, record-limited, and intended for capability preview. Cloud EDM, a separate standalone subscription, full functionality, no record limits. Verify the current record limits against the documentation before you advise anybody. The number in this recording will date. The distinction will not.
