Administering Cloud EPM: The Platform Beneath the Business Processes · Module 8 · Single Sign-On and Federation
Completing configuration in the console
Lesson 91 of 201 · 14 min
In the cloud console, create the identity provider configuration, import the metadata from Lesson 3, configure the mapping, TEST THE CONFIGURATION BEFORE ACTIVATING IT, activate, sign in through the federated route, then sign in through the administrator route and confirm both work. TEST BEFORE ACTIVATING. The configuration offers a test path; use it. Activating an untested identity provider configuration is how people lock themselves out. CONFIRM THE ADMINISTRATOR ROUTE WORKS BEFORE YOU CLOSE THE SESSION YOU ARE ALREADY SIGNED INTO. It is the single most important operational instruction in the module. Activate in a non-production environment first.
