Rapid means a curated subset of setup tasks plus spreadsheet loaders, aimed at a straightforward single-country, single-ledger deployment. What it leaves out is a long list, and the items on it are exactly the ones that make real implementations hard: complex tax, multiple accounting bases, advanced approval routing, complex intercompany, and most integration. So it is excellent for building the skeleton quickly and for training environments — and almost no real client stops there. Plan to start rapid and extend, rather than treating the two as alternatives you choose between once. The criteria that make rapid viable on its own: a single country, a single currency, a modest user count, no statutory second accounting basis, and standard approval.
