Provisioning and role assignment at scale

Assigning roles to one user is a screen. Assigning them to four hundred is a load, and doing it by hand at go-live is how people end up working the weekend. Provisioning rules key off attributes of the person — their job, their department, their legal employer, their location — and grant a role set automatically when somebody matches. Set up properly they are the reason a new joiner has the right access on their first morning without anybody being asked. WHERE THEY SILENTLY DO NOTHING is the part worth knowing. A rule that matches no one runs successfully and grants nothing: no error, no warning, a green process and an empty result.
