A short walkthrough, one important warning, and one thing this lesson deliberately refuses to do. This is the enterprise. There is exactly one of these; it sits at the top of everything and its defaults cascade down. Walk its attributes: person number generation and worker number generation — how identifiers get created, sequential, manual or derived; employment model defaults; and work day information, the default working pattern at enterprise level. The thing worth knowing about each is which can be overridden further down and which cannot. Some are defaults in the true sense — set here, changed at legal employer level where a country needs something different. Others are set once for the whole enterprise, and those are where a casual choice becomes a permanent one. Hence the warning. Several attributes here are effectively permanent once records exist.
