Geographies and the foundation layer

A foundation lesson carrying the same dependency warning as its equivalent in the Financials course: this has to exist before legal entities, before locations, and before you load a single worker address. It is not interesting and it blocks everything, so get it out of the way early. A country structure is the levels an address is built from in that country, and those differ by country — which is the entire reason this layer exists. For many countries there is delivered geography data you can import; for a country without it, you populate it yourself, which is more work and entirely doable. Then the setting that matters: address validation, which is how strictly an address is checked against the geography data. The trade-off is genuine and there is no free answer.
