The FIRST ONE FINDS THE ERRORS, the SECOND ONE FINDS THE TIMINGS, the THIRD PROVES THE RUNBOOK. SKIPPING TO ONE IS WHERE OVERRUNS COME FROM. Three rehearsals sounds excessive until you see what each produces, and each produces something the others cannot. THE FIRST FINDS THE ERRORS AND IT WILL BE CHAOTIC. Missing prerequisites, steps that fail, customisations that will not compile, things nobody knew were there — Lesson 3's inventory being tested against reality. It will not complete cleanly and that is not a failure of the rehearsal, it is the entire product of it. THE SECOND FINDS THE TIMINGS, AND IT ONLY WORKS BECAUSE THE FIRST REMOVED THE INTERRUPTIONS. A run that stops six times cannot be timed.
