Six applications on the finance side, each with the same four facts: name, one-sentence job, what feeds it, what it feeds. Project Foundation — the shared components every other application uses. Project plan structure, resource breakdown structures, rate schedules, pricing, burdening, cross-charge. The one nobody talks about, and everything depends on. Most of the first half of this course is Foundation, and learners frequently do not realise that is what they are configuring. Project Control — planning, progress management, budgeting and forecasting. Project Costing — captures and processes commitments and costs from other applications and from third-party systems. Project Billing — invoice processing, formatted invoices with estimated tax, and analytics on contract revenue, invoice, profitability and margin. Project Performance Reporting — a multidimensional model for stakeholders to answer performance questions and act on them.
