Configuring appearance

Lesson 153 of 201 · 11 min

Open the appearance settings, apply a theme and branding, make test environments visually DISTINCT from production, show the effect on the user's experience, and show the interaction with the Module 4 environment description. DISTINCT APPEARANCE BETWEEN TEST AND PRODUCTION IS A CONTROL, NOT DECORATION. Combined with the custom description from Module 4, it makes it genuinely hard for a user to enter real data in the wrong place. This costs ten minutes and prevents a category of incident. Branding matters more than administrators expect for adoption. A platform that looks like the organization gets used like part of it.
