Administering Cloud EPM: The Platform Beneath the Business Processes · Module 13 · Running the Environment

Email: sender, SPF, DKIM, DMARC

Lesson 155 of 201 · 14 min

Why this matters — notifications, approvals, password resets and feedback all depend on delivered email. Configure the sender email address, the SPF record for verification, DKIM support and configuration, and DMARC considerations. Then test delivery, and check where the message lands. THIS IS A JOINT TASK with whoever runs the organization's email and DNS. You configure the platform side; they configure the records. Book it as a session with them. THE FAILURE MODE IS SILENT AND EXPENSIVE. Notifications land in spam, approvals stall, close slips, and nobody connects the cause. In workflow-heavy business processes like Financial Consolidation and Close and Account Reconciliation, this is not a minor setting. TEST DELIVERY TO A REAL USER MAILBOX, NOT JUST YOUR OWN. Your mailbox may have rules others do not. Do this before go-live, not after the first stalled approval.
