A PLATFORM ADMINISTRATOR WITHOUT A CALENDAR IS A PLATFORM ADMINISTRATOR REACTING. The work is predictable. The calendar makes it manageable. Daily: the maintenance window, overnight automation outcomes, job failures. Monthly: the patch lands in test first, production later. THAT GAP IS THE SINGLE MOST VALUABLE OPERATIONAL PROPERTY YOU HAVE. It is your window to find problems before users do. Use it deliberately, with a test routine — not by accident. Quarterly: access review, client version review, capacity check, security decision review. Annually: recovery test, role model audit, unused environment sweep, DR evidence for whoever requires it.
