Implementing Cloud Financials: From Empty Pod to Go-Live · Module 7 · Tax
Party tax profiles and registrations
Lesson 71 of 153 · 12 min
Configure the legal entity party tax profile and add its tax registration — registration number, jurisdiction, effective date. Then configure a supplier party tax profile with its registration, and a customer party tax profile including an exemption. Finish by showing where the registration number surfaces on a printed document. Registration numbers print on customer-facing invoices. A typo is a statutory problem, not a cosmetic one. Verify against the registration certificate rather than against an email. Supplier registration status drives reverse charge and self-assessment behaviour, which is why it belongs here rather than in the supplier master. And customer exemptions need effective dates and, usually, a certificate on file. Build the process, not just the configuration — an exemption with no expiry review becomes an exemption somebody is claiming without entitlement.
