Implementing Cloud Financials: From Empty Pod to Go-Live · Module 3 · Common Configuration

Configuring reference data sets

Lesson 26 of 153 · 9 min

A short walkthrough. Review the common set, create a second set for the foreign entity, show where set assignment happens for a business unit, and create one set-enabled object in each set so the visibility difference is visible rather than described. This task is deliberately unfinished, and the lesson says so. Set assignment completes in Module 5, once business units exist. Learners get anxious when a walkthrough does not finish; naming the dependency removes the anxiety, and pretending the task is complete would be worse. The permanence warning applies here as it does everywhere else in this course: sets cannot easily be changed once transactions exist.
