Open Manage Locations from the Enterprise Profile functional area — note that you may need to switch the task list to show all tasks before it appears. Create a location with its effective start date, location set, name, code, status, country and full address. Show the postal code auto-populating city, state and county, and note that the field label changes by country. Create a second location for the second plant and a third for the warehouse, then show where locations are consumed — inventory organizations, and shipping. A location identifies the physical address of a plant. Every inventory and manufacturing organization needs one. Location set assignment matters, for the same reason reference data sets matter elsewhere: a location in the wrong set will not appear where you need it.
