The minimal enterprise structure

Verify whether a ledger already exists, and know where to look. If not: create a minimal chart of accounts structure, deploy it, create a calendar, create a primary ledger, complete the definition, open a period. Then create a legal entity and assign it to the ledger, create a business unit, and assign the data access needed to work with them. This is pilot-grade, not a production design. A real chart of accounts is a multi-day design exercise, and anybody building one for a real client should treat it as one. Do not let this become the client's permanent chart of accounts by accident. It happens: a pilot structure built in an hour becomes production because nobody revisited it.
