Find the quick setup gear icon on the Cost Accounting functional area, use query by example to search by profit center business unit, enter the cost organization code, a short name and the cost method, select the row and implement, confirm and wait. Then open the implementation details and review every setup task it created — cost organization, cost book, relationship, elements, components, mappings, valuation structures, cost profiles, default cost profiles — compare each against your design, and adjust anything that differs, before any transaction exists. This is the fastest and most dangerous accelerator in the course. It creates the entire permanent structure in one action, based on three fields. The review window is real and it is short.
