Implementing Manufacturing and Materials Management: From Empty Plant to Costed Work Order · Module 5 · Units of Measure and Calendars
Shifts and workday patterns
Lesson 50 of 188 · 9 min
Define shifts with start and end times, build a workday pattern from shifts, then build a rotating three-shift pattern. Apply the patterns to the calendar and show resource availability derived from them. Shift definitions feed resource capacity two modules later. If capacity looks wrong later, come back here — said now, because the person debugging capacity will not think of this module. Rotating patterns only reveal errors partway through a cycle. Verify a full cycle.
