Five mapping failures, and not one of them produces an error. ONE: AN OPTIONAL FIELD LEFT UNMAPPED. The target defaults it and the record is created carrying a value nobody chose. A successful run, a wrong record, and it is wrong on every record the integration ever creates. Lesson 3. TWO: A LOOP THAT EMITTED ONE ROW. Forty lines in, one line out. The invoice exists and is short, and the totals are wrong by an amount nobody notices until a reconciliation. Lesson 4. THREE: A DATE SHIFTED BY A ZONE. Right for most of the year, a day out for the rest. The tell is a defect that appears in spring and vanishes in autumn, which is why it is misdiagnosed. Lesson 7. FOUR: A ROUNDED AMOUNT.
