Build a LIST AND A FORM, then FORCE LOADING, EMPTY, ERROR AND SLOW STATES and MAKE EACH ONE SAY SOMETHING TRUE. Lesson 8 listed four states. Building them is a paragraph of work; SEEING all four is the thing nobody does, because three of them require deliberately breaking something. BUILD THE HAPPY PATH FIRST AND CONFIRM IT IS BORINGLY CORRECT. A list bound to a service, a form that edits one row on a copy per Lesson 3, and a save that refetches. That baseline is what the four states are variations of. FORCE LOADING BY THROTTLING THE NETWORK IN THE BROWSER TOOLS. Not by imagining it. At a slow profile the page will show you exactly what a user on a poor connection sees for four seconds, and if that is a finished-looking empty page, you have found the first defect and it was invisible at full speed.
