Getting these wrong is INVISIBLE IN A DEMO AND OBVIOUS IN PRODUCTION. Locale, timezone, and THE AMOUNT THAT LOST A DECIMAL. Every one of these defects survives a demo perfectly, because a demo is one person, in one timezone, with one locale, looking at round numbers. THE DATE ONE IS THE MOST COMMON AND THE WORST UNDERSTOOD. A date arrives as an instant in time, the browser renders it in the viewer's timezone, and a date that meant "the 1st" in one place is "the 31st" in another. Lesson 9's second failure — a day out for half the year — because daylight saving means it is only wrong for part of it, which is what makes it so hard to believe.
