The scoping conversation, before anything technical. What do you want an agent to do, specifically? Which business process does it live in? One only. Who would use it — administrators, or end users? Do you have a Fusion Applications environment with AI Agent Studio? And who will customize and maintain the agent definitions? Then determine the implementation scenario. The requirements differ depending on whether the Fusion Applications environment and the EPM environment share a cloud account, share an identity domain, or are entirely separate. ESTABLISH THIS FIRST. IT DETERMINES THE ENTIRE AUTHENTICATION CONFIGURATION. Roles and responsibilities. This is joint work: the EPM administrator, the Fusion Applications administrator, and the identity team. Name them before starting. TREAT THIS AS A SMALL PROJECT WITH A PLAN, NOT A TASK.
