Implementing Cloud Financials: From Empty Pod to Go-Live · Module 16 · Full Implementation Capstone

Building your project plan

Lesson 150 of 153 · 12 min

Open the project plan template and sequence sixteen modules' worth of work against this brief. Identify the dependencies that constrain the order — geography before legal entities, chart of accounts before ledger, tax before transactions, bank accounts before payments — and identify what can run in parallel. Mark the decision points that need client input, which in the capstone means documented assumptions. Then estimate effort per workstream. Plan before configuring. Every hour here saves three later. Where the brief is ambiguous, document an assumption and proceed. Do not stall. That is what real consultants do, and it is the difference between a project that moves and one waiting on an email. The assumptions log is graded, and it is the most professionally realistic artifact in the whole course.
