Configuring seniority rules

Lesson 122 of 175 · 14 min

Review the profile options that control the feature version. Configure a rule for a simple continuous-service date, then one that ignores breaks under a threshold, then one at assignment level. Run the calculation process, and inspect the results on several workers with different histories. Test against workers with messy histories, not clean ones. A rule that works for a straightforward hire proves nothing — every rule works for a straightforward hire. Use the rehires, the transfers and the part-timers from the worker data pack. And the calculation process must run. Schedule it — otherwise the failure is somebody wondering why the numbers have not moved.
