Implementing Global HR: From Enterprise Model to Live Workforce · Module 8 · Enterprise Structures Configurator

The configurator flow

Lesson 81 of 175 · 14 min

Open the configurator and start a new configuration, then walk each step: enterprise structure, divisions, legal entities, business units, reference data sets. Look at the configuration workbench and how it differs from the guided flow. Then save a draft configuration without loading it. Compare each step to the manual task it replaces as you pass it. You should recognise everything on screen — that recognition is the payoff for having built it by hand first, and if nobody points at it you will not notice you have it. Draft configurations can be reviewed before loading, so use that. Show it to the client before you commit: a structure is much easier to argue about on a review screen than after it exists.
