Implementing Project Portfolio Management: From Organization Structure to Recognized Revenue · Module 12 · Project Costing: the Accounting Setup
Associating the definition to a ledger
Lesson 128 of 198 · 10 min
Associate the transaction account definition to the ledger, set the effective dates, show the association making the definition live, then show a ledger with NO association, and the resulting failure. Show a second business unit's ledger, if applicable. THIS IS THE STEP THAT ACTIVATES EVERYTHING. A perfect definition with no ledger association does nothing — silently. Ten minutes of walkthrough, and without it the previous ninety are inert. Effective dates matter for migration — backdated transactions need a definition effective then — failure case seven.
