Implementing Project Portfolio Management: From Organization Structure to Recognized Revenue · Module 7 · Project Types
Creating a project type
Lesson 69 of 198 · 12 min
Create a project type: name, class, description. Set the basic information and effective dates, the default project unit behaviour and organization defaults. Save, review the option groups now available, and show how the class chosen changed which options appear. The class selection changes the rest of the page. Seeing that makes the Lesson 2 concept concrete, and it is the prevention for failure case seven. Naming: types appear in every project creation screen and every report filter. Name them for a user, not for a consultant.
