Implementing Project Portfolio Management: From Organization Structure to Recognized Revenue · Module 7 · Project Types
Billing and other options
Lesson 74 of 198 · 12 min
On a contract type, set the billing-related options. Set the default rate schedule behaviour for cost and bill, the cross-charge behaviour — forward-referencing Module 11 — and the remaining option groups. Review the completed type. Rate defaults on the type feed the derivation hierarchy from Module 6. It is one of the levels you traced two modules ago. Billing enablement is what makes the project associable with a contract. Module 14. Walk every option group, even briefly. You need to know what is there so you can find it later.
