Cost processing and period close

Lesson 139 of 198 · 12 min

Run the cost processing sequence, review unprocessed items, create accounting in draft, review, then final, show entries transferred to the ledger, review the project period status, close the project accounting period, attempt a transaction in the closed period, and show the relationship to the general ledger period. Draft first. Same discipline as everywhere in this catalogue. DO NOT CLOSE WITH UNPROCESSED ITEMS. They do not disappear — they surface next period with the wrong date. Build the client a close checklist. It is the deliverable that makes hypercare survivable.
