Thresholds and status

Lesson 166 of 198 · 11 min

Set threshold ranges on a KPI. Configure the status indicators. Show a project falling into each status, and the portfolio view coloured by status. Tune a threshold that is firing too often. Same discipline as Module 10's exception thresholds: set them, watch for two months, tighten. A dashboard where everything is red is a dashboard nobody opens. Different project types may warrant different thresholds. AGREE THRESHOLDS WITH THE PERSON WHO WILL ACT ON THEM. If they do not own the numbers, they will ignore the colours.
