Enable context-based activation, show guides appearing based on where the user is, configure targeting, and show the result from a user's perspective. CONTEXT-BASED ACTIVATION IS WHAT STOPS GUIDANCE BEING NOISE. A guide that appears everywhere is ignored; one that appears on the page it relates to is used. Target deliberately. Over-targeting produces the same result as no targeting.
