Administering Cloud EPM: The Platform Beneath the Business Processes · Module 4 · Creating and Managing Environments
Creating an environment
Lesson 43 of 201 · 13 min
From the console, start environment creation. Select the subscription and the business process type, set the instance name — which is PERMANENT and appears in the URL — then select the identity domain, region and compartment from Module 3. Create, monitor provisioning, then show the resulting environment and its URL, and sign in for the first time. THE INSTANCE NAME IS PERMANENT AND PUBLIC. It is in the URL every user types. Agree it with somebody who cares before you type it. Provisioning takes time. Plan for it in a cutover schedule rather than discovering it. The environment is empty. Module 5 puts something in it.
