Implementing Cloud Financials: From Empty Pod to Go-Live · Module 13 · Rapid Implementation Spreadsheets

What breaks

Lesson 131 of 153 · 1 min

Six failures. Load succeeded but the flexfield is not deployed. Verify and deploy manually. Half the objects created. Partial failure, no rollback, manual cleanup. Prevention: validate in the spreadsheet, and load into clean environments. Loaded into the wrong environment. It happens. Prevention: name environments visibly, and check before every upload. Workbook will not upload. Structure modified, macros blocked, or the wrong version for the release. Re-download the template rather than reusing an old one. Tax loaded but nothing calculates. The subscription is missing, or the availability checkbox. Straight back to the tax diagnostic sequence. Customer file rejected sixty per cent of rows. Geography validation. Sample-load twenty rows first, always. The accelerator makes you faster at everything, including being wrong. The second and third cases are only possible because the load takes ninety seconds. Speed is the feature and speed is the hazard, and the mitigation for both is verifying afterwards.
