The enterprise structures workbook

Lesson 125 of 153 · 18 min

Download the workbook from its setup task and walk each tab in order — chart of accounts, calendar, legal entities, business units, and the supporting tabs. Fill it in for a two-entity structure, narrating each column. Look at the segment and value definition tabs and how they map to the value sets you built by hand. Look at hierarchy definition inside the workbook. Then validate within the spreadsheet before uploading. Compare each tab back to the manual task it replaces. You should recognise everything, and that recognition is the entire point of teaching the manual path first. The in-spreadsheet validation catches most errors, so use it: uploading an unvalidated workbook is how you get a half-load, and a half-load has no clean rollback. And column order and hidden columns matter. Do not restructure the workbook, however much you want to.
