Why we taught the slow way first

"You made me build a chart of accounts by hand for two and a half hours and there was a spreadsheet the whole time?" Yes. The spreadsheet creates objects you must understand in order to fix. When the load half-succeeds — and it will — you are troubleshooting objects you have never built, and that is a bad first encounter with any of them. What the accelerators are good at: speed on greenfield builds, rebuilding a demo or training environment, and standing up a proof of concept. What they do not do: anything complex. Multi-ledger, complex tax, unusual calendars, and most real-world variation. Load the skeleton with spreadsheets, then extend manually. Almost every project that uses them ends up doing exactly that.
