Customer and budget uploads

Lesson 130 of 153 · 13 min

The customer simplified spreadsheet: populate it, upload, review the validation failures, correct them and reload. Then look at the validation rules that most commonly reject rows — address, required fields, duplicate detection. Then the budget upload to General Ledger: populate a budget by account and period, load it, and verify against the ledger. Then budget import to Budgetary Control, at a high level. Customer upload validations are strict on addresses. That is the geography dependency from the common configuration module, appearing for the third time in this course. The repetition is the teaching: geography is not a setup step you complete, it is a foundation that keeps being tested. And budget loading is a quarterly or annual task the client will do themselves, long after you have gone. Build them a runbook rather than showing them once.
