Loading and verifying

Lesson 126 of 153 · 12 min

Upload the workbook and run the process. Monitor it and open the log. Then verify object by object — value sets, structure, instance, calendar, ledger, legal entities, business units — checking that each exists and is correct. Then deliberately load a workbook with an error and read the failure output, and look at the partial-success case and what cleanup involves. Always verify manually after loading. The process reporting success does not mean the structure is what you intended. Partial loads are the worst case: some objects created, some not, and no clean rollback. Load into a clean environment wherever you can, so that cleanup is a delete rather than an archaeology exercise. And check the deployed flexfield specifically. It is the object most commonly left incomplete, and its absence produces the silent failure you already met in the chart of accounts module.
