Building value sets

A walkthrough. Navigate to the chart of accounts value set task and create the company value set — independent validation, character data type, and the maximum length you decided when you sized the segments. Then repeat for cost centre, natural account and intercompany, narrating what differs each time. The lesson deliberately picks the wrong validation type on camera and then corrects it, because that is the mistake people actually make. Four things worth carrying. Pick a naming convention for value sets and be consistent — you will have dozens on a real project. Independent validation is almost always the answer for chart of accounts segments. The maximum length here must match what you decided when sizing, and it is painful to change later. And flag the security-enabled setting now; it gets configured in a later lesson.
