Implementing Cloud Financials: From Empty Pod to Go-Live · Module 4 · Chart of Accounts and Ledger Design

What we're building

Lesson 29 of 153 · 1 min

The lesson opens on the finished artifact rather than on a plan: a working ledger, an open period, and a trial balance with real values in it. In about three hours, that is yours. Then the dependency chain, which is the shape of the whole module: value sets → structure → instance → deployment → hierarchy → calendar → ledger → period. Every single thing later in this course sits on top of it. This is the module where projects go wrong, and the damage does not surface for six months. That is why it is the longest one in the course, and why the design lessons come before any configuration. Have three things open before you start: the environment, the design template download, and a notepad. You will use the notepad more than you expect.
