Creating legal entities and reporting units

Create the first legal entity: name, registration number, jurisdiction, legal address. Set the payroll and transacting flags as appropriate and understand what each one means. Look at the legal reporting unit that is created automatically, then create a second one by hand and understand when you would need it. Create the second legal entity, in the other country, and review the resulting structure. The legal address must validate against the geography hierarchy you built in the common configuration module. If it does not, go back and finish that — this is the dependency you were warned about, arriving on schedule. Legal reporting units are the statutory reporting grain: one country with multiple registrations means multiple reporting units, and that is what they are for. On naming: use the registered legal name exactly, including the suffix. It prints.
