Six failures, and three of them were caused two modules ago. My business unit does not appear in Payables setup. The payables business function is not assigned. A one-minute fix and half a day to find. Financial statements by entity are wrong. A balancing segment value mapped to the wrong legal entity. Insidious, because everything balances. Prevention: written sign-off on the mapping. We built twelve business units and close takes three weeks. Over-granular design, and very hard to undo. Prevention is the granularity lesson at the start of this module. Legal entity creation fails on the address. Geography hierarchy incomplete — back to the common configuration module. Cross-entity journal will not post. No intercompany balancing rule, or no intercompany segment in the chart of accounts.
