Six failures, each with a symptom, a cause, a fix and a prevention. New user can sign in but sees an empty home page. Abstract role missing. Assign the employee role. Everything worked yesterday, nothing works today. Role changes were made and the regeneration process was not run, or was run mid-session. Sign out and back in after regeneration. The consultant left and nobody can post journals. A data access set was assigned to a person rather than to a role. Reassign to the role, then audit for others like it. Assets configuration will not let me proceed. Asset book data access was never granted. One minute to fix, and a wasted day to find. Audit flagged twelve SoD conflicts a week before go-live.
