Provisioning your first users

A walkthrough. The Security Console and its tabs, then an implementation user carrying implementation consultant plus employee, then three business users representing three different finance jobs with job and abstract roles assigned to each. Role changes are not always instant. There is a process that makes them take effect, and this lesson runs it and then explains why the change did not appear before it ran. Learn its name; you will run it more often than any other process in this course. Two things that matter more than they look. The chicken-and-egg problem — you need a user in order to create users — so the initial administrator path is covered rather than assumed. And naming and email conventions, because notifications and approvals depend on them and they are painful to change once people are using them.
